So I got up this morning at the butt-crack of dawn (4AM) to head on over to Tybee Island for the Critz Tybee Run I mentioned in yesterday’s post. It was raining crazy and I considered not going, but only for a second. I figured, “What’s a little water, hmm?”
Considering it was my first 5K, I have absolutely no lung capacity, and overweight I came in at a pretty darn respectable 44:11. Now my shoulder hurts from all the patting myself on the back I’ve been doing ![]()
It rained like nobody’s business throughout the race; I spent half the race with my eyes closed to keep the rain out. But I’ve never had a better time. I am already looking to see what 5K I can enter next…
On the way home, I took these shots:

oh these are just gorgeous! Makes me miss Tybee something awful! Congratulations on your first 5K!! Way to go, and these pictures are perfect!!
Congratulations on finishing the 5k, you should be patting yourself on the back.
Love the awesome wooden walkway. Excellent color, and what’s better than a bridge which leads to the beach!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Congrats on your 5k! I don’t think I could make it half way!
I love the first photo, awsome!
