Worldwide Photowalk

July 25, 2010

On Saturday, I joined 30,000 photographers around the world for the third annual Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk.
Hot and humid doesn’t adequately describe downtown Savannah – by lunchtime I was done and couldn’t get home (and to air conditioning) fast enough. My photos are a bit sucky and I’d like to blame the extreme heat for my poor images, but I think I was simply too tired to get really into the photowalk this year. Or maybe I’m making excuses for my lacking photo skills?City HallSavannah, GAFactor's WalkSouvenirsLittle boy in SavannahRiver StreetWishing fountainWine shop in SavannahGas lanternsBuilding ornamentationFactor's WalkDowntown SavannahStreet cleanerFountainBridge

Paula Deen's

People waiting in the extreme heat in a line that wraps the block. So long of a line, I couldn't capture it all, but the line continues past both corners of the building pictured here. What are they waiting for? To get into Paula Deen's Lady & Sons restaurant, of course!

I think all of these photographs are wonderful! I miss Savannah so much and seeing these helped a lot! I completely missed the photowalk (but then my computer is not cooperating and I can’t really use my camera anyway). Thank you for sharing these! The shots of Factor’s Walk and the Rivier street area made me almost taste the peach frozen yogurt the Olympus Cafe serves! (YUM!)

Let me hear from ya!
